Philippine racing aficionados and adrenaline junkies were spellbound by the heart-pounding Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival at the Quirino Grandstand that took place in Manila last Aug. 23-24, 2023.
This motorsports event is part of Toyota Motor Philippines’ 35th anniversary treat to customers and fans who have shown continuous love and support for the brand through the years. More than 6,000 spectators attended the TGR Festival which garnered up to 2.6 million livestream viewers.
Akio Toyoda, chairman of Toyota Motor Corp., also known by his racing pseudonym Morizo, showcased his driving and drifting skills at the TGR Festival. He demonstrated his prowess behind the wheel of various Toyota race cars.
Chairman Akio arrived in Manila aboard Toyota Motors corporate jets—Two (2) Gulfstream G650ER together with his top executives. The Ages lounge played host to the Toyota Motors Philippines team who welcomed Morizo on both arrival and departure, where he took time to relax in after a fruitful Philippine visit.
It is once again an honor to be part of this milestone event in Toyota Motors’ history in the Philippines.
