In 2014, Serbia fell prey to the USA by settling for silver during that year’s FIBA World Cup edition in Spain despite stellar outings from Milos Teodosic, Nikola Kalinic, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Almost 10 years later, they met the same fate as the gold medal remained elusive, falling to unbeaten Germany in the 2023 edition in Manila.
Still, the European bets are still proud of their run. Serbia’s main man, Bogdan Bogdanovic, is proud and happy for what his team achieved in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. While he would badly want to win the gold medal, a second place ending in the tournament isn’t exactly bad either since it’s Serbia’s second podium finish in the last three editions of the global showpiece.
Ages is honored to have provided full ground handling service to the Serbia basketball team as they headed to Belgrade, Serbia, aboard Air Serbia’s special flight JU0010 an Airbus A330-200.
The flight was a historical trip on its own being the first direct flight in the history of Air Serbia to fly direct for Belgrade from Manila nonstop. The flight lasted about 12 hours and Ages is elated to have been part of this historical event.
A special cake was ordered for Air Serbia’s special passengers and Ages was happy to accommodate and deliver. Photo of the cake and the happy crew and passengers courtesy of #airserbia ‘s Facebook page. Also seen is a signed team photo as a little memento for #agesaviation
